Purpose: To clearly define what it takes to develop aligned improvement plans for districts that use Baldrige as the approach to continual improvement.

Expected Outcomes:

· Increased understanding of the Baldrige approach to continual improvement

· Increased understanding of the role of the district strategic plan in a systems approach to
   school improvement

· Assessment of the district as a system

· Development of draft strategic goals, measures, and an action plan for the district

Participant Prerequisites:

Successful completion of appropriate awareness-level training such as  Orientation to Performance Excellence and Continuous Classroom Improvement
