Advanced Baldrige: Principles and Practices of Performance Excellence

Purpose: In-depth study of the Baldrige Education Criteria for Performance Excellence as applied to continuous school improvement.

 

Expected Outcomes:

· Increased understanding of the Baldrige categories, core values, and system connections

· Increased understanding of the key concepts and principles of continual improvement

· Increased ability to recognize and analyze Baldrige practices

· Increased ability to apply Baldrige to multi-level improvement initiatives

 

Target Audience:

District and school leaders with responsibility for recognizing and evaluating Baldrige-based principles and practices

 

Participant Prerequisites:

Successful completion of awareness-level training such as Orientation to Performance Excellence, Continuous Classroom Improvement, and implementation/deployment-level training such as Leading for Performance Excellence

 

Recommended Time:

2 days

 

Required Materials for Participants:

· Appropriate level of þ Systems Check III

· Baldrige Criteria booklets for current year (ordered from ASQ)
