NON-INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT STAFF


 Tools and Techniques for Performance Excellence Part I: A Focus on Process Improvement for Non-Instructional Teams

Purpose: Provide hands-on experience with basic tools and techniques for implementing the regular Plan-Do-Study-Act improvement cycles.

 

Expected Outcomes:

· Increased understanding of Baldrige categories, core values, and PDSA

· Identify strategies for using tools and PDSA in the workplace

· Increased competency and application of quality tools

· Identify resources and next steps to support additional practice and application in the
   workplace

· Readiness to apply strategies learned and report out during Part II training and follow-up
   coaching

 

Target Audience:

Classified staff (food service, transportation, maintenance, secretarial, technical support, etc.), department supervisors

 

Participant Prerequisites:

Continuous Improvement: Using PDSA to Improve Key Support Processes Participant Workbook

 

Recommended Time:

2 hours to ½ day

 

Required Materials for Participants:

· Department mission and goals to be supplied by the district
