Purpose: Guide leadership in the development of a Baldrige-based state department of education.

Expected Outcomes:

· Clear understanding of the components and best practices of a Baldrige-based systems
   approach as applied to the state department of education

· Identify aligned strategic, operational, training, and deployment plans

· Development of strategies for implementation

Target Audience:

State Department of Education members

Participant Prerequisites:

Appropriate awareness-level training such as Orientation to Performance Excellence  and Continuous Classroom Improvement preferred but not required
